Weian Zhao serves as the Founder and CEO of Aureka Biotechnologies Inc since April 2023, where the focus is on creating a technology platform to transform the pharmaceutical industry through digitalized therapeutic design. With an extensive academic background, Weian Zhao has been a Professor at UC Irvine since October 2011, specializing in stem cell therapy, immunotherapeutic discovery, and diagnostics. Additionally, Weian Zhao is a Co-Founder of Amberstone Biosciences since 2016 and held the position of Visiting Professor at the MIT Synthetic Biology Center in 2017. Previous experience includes postdoctoral fellowships in stem cell engineering and therapy at Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard Medical School from 2008 to 2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in chemistry focused on nucleic acid aptamer sensors and nanotechnology from McMaster University, as well as a Masters and B.S. in Chemistry from Shandong University.
