Greg Stapleton has over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, and project management. From 2000 to 2022, they served in various roles for the Times Union, SUNY Cobleskill, Aurelius Coworks, and Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region. At the Times Union, they were the Business Development Manager and Circulation Marketing and Education Manager. As Business Development Manager, they used data analysis to create and design go-to-market sales presentations and materials, driving $650K in annual revenue. As Circulation Marketing and Education Manager, they created the Times Union College Newspaper Program, working with 45 local colleges, universities and schools to mentor students on media literacy and prepare them for careers in the media industry. Greg also administered the sponsor-funded Classroom Enrichment Program, delivering 50K digital and printed newspapers each week to Capital Region K-12 students and teachers. From 2008 to 2022, they served as an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Cobleskill, teaching Technical Writing for Non-Communications Majors, Introduction to Journalism and Contemporary Issues in Mass Media. From 2022 to present, they have been the Director, Marketing and Communications at Aurelius Coworks, creating and executing social media and digital marketing programs, and managing marketing and operations of several community building events. Greg is currently the Interim Director, Marketing and Communications at Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region, creating and executing social media and digital marketing programs, and driving more donations and volunteers.

Greg Stapleton holds a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University, obtained in 2000, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communications from The College of Saint Rose, obtained in 1999. In addition, they are a certified Hearst INCLUDE Change Agent (2021), a Hearst Leadership Development Program graduate from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning (2021), and a Reach Mentor Program Mentor from Hearst Newspapers (2022).
