Lauren Welgush, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic leadership and consultation. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director, HRBP, Canadian Operations at Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc., where they provide HR support to client groups across the USA, UK, and Canada. Prior to this, they worked at Ingenico Group as the HR Manager for the North American business lines of SMB and Global Online. Lauren also served as the People and Performance Manager, North America at Bambora. Before transitioning to the pharmaceutical and technology industries, Lauren worked as a Human Resources Advisor at Golder Associates and as a Recruitment Coordinator at Elections BC. Lauren began their career as a Human Resources Coordinator at Liquor Plus Administration and Country Grocer before taking on the role of Human Resources and Marketing Coordinator at North Winnipeg Credit Union Limited.

Lauren Welgush, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a strong educational background in the field of human resources. Lauren attended the University of Manitoba from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in English. Following this, Lauren pursued further studies at the same university from 2004 to 2007 and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours, specializing in Human Resources and Marketing.

In addition to their formal education, Lauren has also pursued several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. In 2015, they obtained the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation from the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA). Building on this, in 2021, they completed the Korn Ferry Leadership Architect certification provided by Korn Ferry. Continuing their commitment to professional development, Lauren obtained the OISE Continuing and Professional Learning Certificate in Adult Learning and Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto in 2018.

Recently, Lauren has focused on expanding their strategic HR knowledge and achieved the Strategic Human Resources Leadership certification from eCornell in April 2022. Furthermore, they acquired the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in January 2022. These additional certifications highlight Lauren's dedication to staying current with industry best practices and their emphasis on specialized knowledge and expertise within the field of human resources.
