Ernie Yap M.D.

Ernie Yap, MD has a diverse background in the medical field. Ernie is currently working as a Medical Director for Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Nephrologist at SUNY Downstate Medical Center from 2017 to 2022. Ernie also worked as a Physician at the National University of Malaysia from 2013 to 2017.

Prior to their Fellowship, Dr. Yap engaged in a program affiliated with The New York Hospital Queens and Weill Medical College of Cornell University from 2008 to 2011, specializing in Internal Medicine. Ernie holds certifications in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine, obtained in November 2011, and Subspecialty Certification in Nephrology, obtained in November 2019. Dr. Yap also obtained additional certification in GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) from the CITI Program, a Division of BRANY in April 2021.
