Mark Harris

Mark Harris is a seasoned environmental management professional with extensive experience at Aurizon since August 2012, currently serving as Manager Environment. In this role, Mark oversees the integration of the Climate Strategy Action Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards. Previous positions at Aurizon include A/Head of Safety, Health, and Environment, where Mark managed safety performance and health initiatives, and A/Manager Safety Strategy, Risk and Improvement, focusing on safety assurance and strategy. Prior to Aurizon, Mark held multiple roles at Cardno, including Business Unit Manager - Environment, where Mark managed a team and a range of ecological projects. Mark's academic background includes ongoing doctoral research in Botany at The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Botany and Zoology from the University of Adelaide.
