Mr. Venkatesa Kannan joined Aurolab in 1996 and heads the Pharmaceutical Division since its inception. He has played a key role in the evolution and development of Pharma division in Aurolab as a well renowned ophthalmic pharmaceutical entity in India. He has played an instrumental role in developing new platforms for making non available, high cost orphan drugs, affordable to the society. With his proven excellence and potential he expanded the pharma product portfolio to 64 drugs in various categories through in-house development within a decade.
He started his career with Indian Syntans Limited as Research Chemist in 1991. In 1993 he joined KK carbonates as Plant Manager. Then he moved to Hydromet India and worked as Quality Control Manager till 1996.
He holds a Masters in Chemistry and PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Madurai Kamaraj University.
