Abdikheir Ahmed

Abdikheir Ahmed is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles focused on immigration, social development, and community planning. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Aurora Family Therapy Centre, Abdikheir has previously held significant positions including Director of Policy in the Office of Canada’s Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and Director of the Immigration Partnership Winnipeg at the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg, where significant contributions included establishing a successful immigration partnership project. With a strong educational background, including a Master’s in International Studies with a focus on Peace and Conflict Resolution from The University of Queensland, Abdikheir has effectively managed large budgets and teams across various organizations, demonstrating a commitment to community development and strategic planning.
