Ray Barnes

Ray Barnes has extensive experience in leadership and public service, currently serving as the Chair Commissioner for the Aurora Housing Authority since 2012 and as a Board Member of Aurora Federal Credit Union since December 2014. Barnes has been a Senior Partner at Global Emergency Solutions since February 2008 and has held the position of President and CEO at Priorities 21 Inc. since 2002. A former Fire Chief of the Aurora Fire Department from June 1991 to January 2002, Barnes also served as a Firefighter and Paramedic in the same department earlier in their career. Additional experience includes working as a White Water River Guide at Rocky Mountain River Expeditions from April 1975 to July 1991 and as an Instrument Flight Instructor at Star Aviation Pvt. Ltd. from June 1971 to September 1974. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Technology from Metropolitan State College.
