Sarah Slater

Sarah Slater is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with experience in various educational settings, currently working with Aurora Public Schools since July 2023, focusing on case management and lesson planning for students with IEPs in grades 2-4. Previously, Sarah taught at STRIVE Prep, managing classes for students with mild/moderate disabilities, and supported middle school classrooms as a paraprofessional at AXL Academy. In addition to teaching, Sarah has a robust background in event production and community outreach, having worked with organizations such as Principal, PlatteForum, and Titwrench Fest, focusing on digital marketing, talent booking, and community engagement. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Alternative Teaching Licensure in Special Education from the University of Colorado Denver, and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.
