Jason Jiaxi Nie

Jason Jiaxi Nie is a Senior Software Engineer in the Perception department at Aurora, where employment has continued since July 2019, following a previous role as a Software Engineer. Jason's experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2015 to May 2019 within the Computational Image Group, as well as a Teaching Assistant for multiple courses including ECE 210 and ECE 313, receiving recognition as a Teacher of Excellence multiple times. Jason also held positions as a Software Engineering Intern at Aurora and a Graduate Student Researcher at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both attained from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additional leadership experience includes serving as the Director of the General Assembly for Model United Nations Illinois.
