Dr Betul Sekendiz

Dr. Betul Sekendiz, PhD, is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of health sciences and sport management, currently serving as Associate Dean (Scholarship) at the International College of Management Sydney since May 2024. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Dr. Sekendiz holds the position of Chairperson for the Health & Fitness Industry Standards Council and Head Judge of the AUSactive National Awards Program since February 2021. As the Managing Director and Founder of Fitness Industry Risk Management Consulting since 2016, Dr. Sekendiz previously acted as Academic Program Manager at the International Sport College Australia and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at CQUniversity. Dr. Sekendiz's academic journey includes significant contributions as a Senior Lecturer and Unit Coordinator at CQUniversity from 2012 to 2020. Dr. Sekendiz earned a PhD in Health Sciences/Sport Management from Bond University and holds master's and bachelor's degrees from Middle East Technical University.
