Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor has extensive experience in the engineering field. Tom currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at Ausco, Inc. since April 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as an Engineering Manager at BBM Railway Solutions from January 2019 to April 2020.

From 2012 to 2018, Tom served as an Engineering Manager at Macton Corporation where they were responsible for mechanical design and project management of locomotive maintenance equipment and turntable/lift/hoist systems for radar signature testing of military aircraft.

Before that, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Triumph Group from May 2011 to July 2012, where they designed and developed mechanical and hydraulic components for aircraft applications.

Tom also has experience as the Director of Engineering at Gar-Kenyon Technologies from August 2003 to December 2010, where they oversaw product design, development, and certification of hydraulic/pneumatic valves, actuators, fuses, master cylinders, and other components used in aircraft control systems.

Tom worked as a Mechanical Design Manager at Bristol Babcock from August 1995 to August 2003, focusing on mechanical design and development of process measurement and control instrumentation.

Earlier in their career, Tom held positions such as Senior Project Engineer at Grimes Aerospace from December 1990 to August 1995, Senior Design Engineer at Teledyne Hydra-Power from March 1990 to December 1990, and Lead Engineer at GE Aircraft Engines from April 1986 to March 1990.

Tom started their career as a Design Engineer at Crane Co. from April 1982 to April 1986, where they designed and developed various types of valves.

Tom Taylor attended Manhattan College from 1977 to 1981, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom continued their education at Manhattan College from 1982 to 1984, obtaining a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
