Clare Hanlon serves as the Co-Chair of the Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Group at AusCycling since February 2022 and is a Professor at Victoria University, holding the Susan Alberti Women in Sport Chair. Clare has extensive experience in sport management, having held positions such as Associate Professor and Acting Head of School within the College of Sport and Exercise Science at Victoria University since June 2011. Additionally, Clare co-founded the Musical Moments Trust to support children with cancer and has served on various governing bodies, including the Oceania Gymnastics Union and Gymnastics Australia, where Clare was an elected Board Director and chaired key committees. Clare's leadership in promoting women's participation in sports is highlighted by the chairmanship of the Australian Women in Sport Advisory Group and the presidency of the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand. Education credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Sport Management from Victoria University, a Masters in Applied Science from Federation University Australia, and a Diploma of Teaching from Australian Catholic University.

AusCycling represents 60,000 members across BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, Cyclo-cross, Cycling Esports, Mountain Bike, Para-cycling, Road, Track and Lifestyle (recreational and commuter) riding throughout Australia. We formed on 1 November 2020 from a merger of Cycling Australia, Mountain Bike Australia, BMX Australia and a host of state organisations. Our vision is to make Australia a nation of bike riders, to advocate for our riders’ safety, build strong club communities and to make all forms of cycling accessible to everyone be it on a track, off a jump, in the great Australian bush or on the road.
