Jacob Swiney

Jacob Swiney is currently a Mechanical Engineering Lead at Austal USA, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this, Jacob served as a Mechanical Engineer at Hargrove Engineers & Constructors from October 2022 to February 2024, and as a Project Engineer at Kohler Power - Engines from March 2022 to October 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer at Austal from January 2019 to March 2022, and as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at the same company. Jacob also gained experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern at Hol-Mac Corp. in 2018 and completed internships at Austal in 2017. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Delta State University, and an Associate of Arts in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
