Tommy Mendiola has a diverse work experience. Tommy started their career in 1995 in the US Navy, where they served on multiple submarines and supervised personnel. Their responsibilities included manufacturing and storing oxygen, removing airborne waste products, performing maintenance on various submarine equipment, repairing valves and filters, and operating refrigeration systems. In 2009, they joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a Police Officer, where they took reports, conducted crime scene investigations, interviewed witnesses and victims, and wrote reports. In 2012, they transitioned to Austal USA, where they held various roles, including Test and Activation Specialist, Warranty Engineer, Project Manager for the Expeditionary Fast Transport Vessel, and Project Manager for the Littoral Combat Ship. Currently, they serve as the Director of Post Delivery Service and Support, overseeing ongoing projects and serving as a liaison between different teams and stakeholders.

Tommy Mendiola earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Business Administration and Management from Ashworth College. Tommy attended the college from 2018 to 2022.
