Lucas Porter

Lucas Porter, PE is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Austin Brockenbrough & Associates, LLC since June 2023, with extensive experience in mechanical engineering obtained during a career that began at ITAC (Industrial TurnAround Corporation) as a Mechanical & Process Engineering Intern in 2013. Over the years, Lucas progressed from intern roles to a Mechanical Engineer and then to a project manager, working across various industries such as pulp and paper, tobacco, chemical, power generation, food and beverage, mining, and pharmaceutical. Responsibilities have included leading design and construction projects, developing engineering documentation like P&IDs and equipment specifications, coordinating with vendors, and undertaking project and construction management tasks, particularly in 24/7 operational facilities. Educationally, Lucas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, completed in 2015.
