Andrew Born serves as the Senior Director of Community Impact at Austin Coming Together since July 2011, where responsibilities include ongoing research and evaluation support, implementation of evaluation plans, and development of data tools. Previously, Andrew has held various roles within the organization, such as Director of Programs and Development, overseeing impactful community initiatives, and Project Coordinator, assisting in community assessments and grant applications. Additionally, Andrew gained extensive teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois Chicago from August 2018 to May 2024, leading and supporting urban planning and community development courses. Andrew's past roles also include positions at the Latin United Community Housing Association, the Nathalie P. Voorhees Center for Neighborhood and Community Improvement, and Join + Relate Consulting. Andrew earned a PhD in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Chicago, building upon a Master's in Urban Planning and Policy and a BA in Public Policy and Spanish from DePaul University.
