Monique Umphrey

Dr. Monique Umphrey begins serving as Provost/Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs at Austin Community College District on December 13, 2021. In her role as chief academic officer, Dr. Umphrey leads strategic planning for the college’s academic mission, which is focused on equitable student success and community development. She collaborates with faculty and staff and leads initiatives across ACC’s 10 areas of study, which serve approximately 70,000 students annually.

An educator at heart, Dr. Umphrey is committed to success for all students and ensuring students have the skills and tools they need to succeed in their career pathways and thrive from both a civic and economic perspective. Dr. Umphrey’s commitment to equity is rooted in a deep desire to remove barriers so that collectively, they can create supportive learning environments where all students can tap into their highest potential.
