Joan Wilhite

Joan Wilhite possesses extensive experience in the energy and service industries, having been with Austin Energy since March 1997, where roles have included Electric System Field Operations Manager and Distribution Construction Supervisor. Responsibilities have encompassed managing daily operations, troubleshooting construction issues, and overseeing inspections for residential and commercial projects. Prior to Austin Energy, Joan operated Wilhite's BBQ & Catering, handling all aspects of business management, and worked as a Service Dispatcher for the City of Austin, as well as a Logistics Coordinator for the Austin American-Statesman. Joan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Texas State University, earned in 1986.
