Dana Pierre is an experienced script reader and screenwriter with a strong background in film and media. Currently serving as a Second Round Script Reader at the Austin Film Festival since September 2020, Dana has also worked as a script reader for various freelance projects. Significant screenwriting accomplishments include the feature spec "The Garter," a neo-noir historical film currently undergoing rewrites, and the historical thriller "Where the Greener Pastures Are," which reached the quarter-finals in the Bluecat Screenwriting Competition. Previous roles encompass mortgage administration and office management at Taylor James Financial Services and freelance independent filmmaking from September 2018 to November 2020. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Cultural Studies from Solent University, complemented by additional film and media courses.
