Martin Jones has a wide range of experience in the film and entertainment industry. Martin has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1995 as the Executive Vice President at United Image Entertainment. From there, they worked as the Managing Partner at Obsidian Home Entertainment, LLC, where they developed a home video brand to distribute independent films. Martin then moved on to become the General Manager and Producer at New Millennium Studios, where they oversaw sales, marketing, and daily operations. Martin Jones also served as the Head of Television at The Potter's House of Dallas and as the Producer and VP of Film at fHammond Family Entertainment. In 2008, they became the Vice President of Production at Carpe Diem Entertainment, Inc., before taking on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications at Oregon Episcopal School in 2010. Martin Jones later became the President and CEO of MetroEast Community Media, a nonprofit specializing in digital inclusion. Currently, they hold the position of CEO and Executive Producer at Martin Jones Films, a multimedia production company. Additionally, in 2019, Martin Jones took on the role of Head of Austin Studios at the Austin Film Society, where they oversee a production facility and supports filmmakers.
Martin Jones has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema from Denison University. Martin also obtained a High School Diploma of Distinction in College Prep from Marion-Franklin High School. In addition to their formal education, Martin has received several certifications including Abilitie from Invited MBA in May 2021, FEMA Incident Command from FEMA in August 2015, and CASE/SimpsonScarborough Scholar from CASE in September 2012. Furthermore, Martin was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 by the Business Journal in 2002.
