Michelle Coffey

Michelle Coffey, APRN, ACNS-BC MSN has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare settings and roles. Michelle most recently served as the Chief Clinical Officer at Austin Geriatric Specialists P.A., where they led a team of advanced practice providers and physicians in training, scheduling, and recruiting. Michelle also played a key role in strategic planning for practice growth and expanding to value-based care. Prior to this position, Michelle served as the Director of Skilled Nursing at the same organization, overseeing the management of advanced practice providers and physicians, scheduling, process improvement, and training.

Before joining Austin Geriatric Specialists, Michelle worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse, providing diagnosis and medical management for acutely and chronically ill patients in skilled nursing and assisted living settings. Michelle collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized patient care and maintained a low return to acute rate.

Earlier in their career, Michelle worked as a Hospice Nurse at Lighthouse Hospice, providing case management and end-of-life care to patients in various settings. Michelle collaborated with a multidisciplinary team and provided education to patients and families on the disease and dying process.

Prior to their nursing career, Michelle worked as a Registered Nurse at Maxim Healthcare Services, where they provided patient care in settings such as in-patient hospice, home health, state schools, and psychiatric hospitals.

Michelle also gained experience in fundraising and marketing during their time at MC2 Consulting Services, Inc. and Fiserv, where they raised significant funds for non-profit charities, increased organizational revenue, and developed sales and marketing presentations. Michelle also worked as a Job Setup Department Intern at EPSIIA, where they developed organizational systems and troubleshooting processes.
