Cameron Goodyear

Cameron was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Austin Health in February 2021.

He has extensive executive-level experience in public health.

In 2018 he joined St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne as Executive Director Acute Services with accountability for acute programs including Surgical Services, Specialty Services and Medical & Emergency Services, as well as Access & Demand management and Radiology & Medical Imaging.

Prior to this Cameron worked at Austin Health for 22 years, most recently as Executive Director of Clinical Operations & Imaging Services where he had oversight of three acute divisions (Surgery & Procedural Medicine, Cancer & Neurosciences, and Radiology & Medical Imaging).

Cameron has a passion for engaging and supporting teams to deliver exceptional performance outcomes, and a strong commitment to safety and quality, building leadership capability and driving clinical engagement.

A qualified nurse, he has postgraduate qualifications including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
