Jodi Batchelor

Jodi Batchelor, PLV, currently serves as the Manager of Volunteer Engagement at Austin Health since August 2020, following a notable career at Lort Smith from July 2016 to August 2020, where Jodi held multiple roles including Volunteer Engagement Officer and Acting Manager of Volunteer Engagement. Responsibilities at Lort Smith included leading volunteer coordination, recruitment, onboarding, and managing a supportive environment for volunteers, as well as overseeing database administration and team development. Prior to these roles, Jodi worked as a Community & Development Project Officer and Senior Animal Welfare Officer at Lort Smith, focusing on the operation of the Adoption Centre and enhancing volunteer experiences. Educational qualifications include ongoing studies at Swinburne University of Technology and a training program in Volunteer Management from Volunteer West. Additional training in small animal behavior and veterinary nursing was obtained at Melbourne Polytechnic in 2015.
