Alex Hassett

Alex Hassett is an experienced educational leader currently serving as a Principal at the Austin Independent School District since August 2014, with previous experience as an Assistant Principal and in various teaching roles. Responsibilities include coordinating TELPAS testing, facilitating professional learning communities, developing campus improvement plans, and creating accelerated learning plans. Alex's background features extensive collaboration with teachers, mentoring, and professional development initiatives aimed at enhancing instructional practices. In addition to a robust teaching career, Alex holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin, and currently serves as a Leadership Coach/Consultant for The University of Texas at Austin, providing mentorship and professional development for educators in San Antonio ISD.
