Christopher Washington

Christopher Washington, MM, currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern University and a Long Term Substitute Teacher for the Austin Independent School District. With a long-standing career as a Musician with the 36th ARNG Band in Austin, Texas, Christopher provides musical support and arranges music for jazz and R&B bands. Previous culinary experience includes roles as Chef at Unbarlievable, Prep Manager at 2nd Bar and Kitchen, and Assistant Manager at Verts Mediterranean Grill, where responsibilities encompassed employee training and food preparation. Additionally, managerial experience includes overseeing operations at Sweetie Pies Ribeyes and serving as High School Band Director at Laurel High School, focusing on instrumental music education. Christopher holds two Master of Fine Arts degrees in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from Texas State University, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Education with a focus on Jazz Studies from The University of Southern Mississippi.
