Dinita Caldwell is the current Director of Theirtorically Underutilized Business at Austin Independent School District. Dinita has held this position since January 2020.

Caldwell began their career in public service as the HUB Program Director at Texas Facilities Commission from March 2013 to August 2015. Dinita then joined Capital Metro as the DBE Officer/Interim Business Development Manager from November 2011 to March 2013, and later as the DBE Officer/Community Outreach Coordinator from June 2008 to October 2011.

In 2006, Caldwell joined The Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce as the Training & Outreach Manager, a position they held until 2008. From there, they went on to work as Technical Assistant to VP of Human Resources at Texas Mutual Insurance Company from April 2003 to January 2006.

Dinita Caldwell has a Master of Business Administration from Huston-Tillotson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication and General and Public Relations from Michigan State University. Dinita also has certification from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts as a Certified Texas Procurement Manager.

Dinita Caldwell reports to Eduardo Ramos, Chief Financial Officer. They work with Dr. Mary Thomas - Executive Director of State, Federal & Private Compliance & Accountability, Katrina Montgomery - Assistant Superintendent of Financial Services, and Annie Collier - Executive Director of Contracts & Procurement.
