Tom Spencer

Host at Austin PBS

Tom Spencer is an experienced executive and media professional, currently serving as the Executive Director for TreeFolks since June 2019. Spencer has a long-standing role as a host at KLBJ-AM and KLRU-TV, positions held since 1983 and August 1982, respectively. Previously, Spencer was the Program Director for the National Wildlife Federation's Texas Living Waters Project, focusing on sustainable water management from January 2016 to June 2019. Additionally, Spencer held the title of Executive Director at I Live Here, I Give Here from September 2013 to June 2015 and served as CEO of Interfaith Action of Central Texas between February 2008 and August 2013. Spencer is an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, where studies took place from 1975 to 1978.
