Sara Cervantes

Sara Cervantes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Legislative Intern for Texas Representative Tryon Lewis. Sara then served as a Law Clerk for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney Fourth Judicial District from 2012 to 2014. In 2012, they also began working as a Private Lesson Instructor for Ozark Juniors Volleyball, a role they held until 2015.

Continuing their legal career, they worked as an Attorney at Tony Nguyen Law Firm PLLC from 2016 to 2016, and then as an Attorney specializing in the administration of Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery funds at the Texas General Land Office from 2016 to 2023. Their responsibilities included creating and maintaining the legal framework for various programs related to housing, infrastructure, economic development, and academic research.

Throughout their career, Sara has also been involved in the sports industry. Sara worked as a Director of Athletic Operations at Northwestern Mutual Insurance from 2014 to 2015, as well as an Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach at The Emery/Weiner School from 2015 to 2016. Sara later became a Volleyball Coach at Austin Performance Volleyball in 2016.

Their most recent role is as the Director of Real Estate at the City of Hutto, starting in 2023.

Sara Cervantes obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Leadership Studies from The University of Texas Permian Basin. Sara then went on to pursue further education at the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law.
