Vinicio Medina MD. FACS. FASMBS. currently serves as the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Department and as a Bariatric-General Surgeon at Austin Regional Clinic since September 2021. Prior to this role, Vinicio Medina worked at CHI St. Vincent from July 2017 to September 2021, specializing in General, Bariatric, and Robotic Surgery with a focus on laparoscopic and robotic gastrointestinal procedures. Previously, Vinicio Medina completed a General Surgery Residency at Jefferson Health from 2012 to 2017 and served as a Research Fellow at NYU Langone Medical Center from January 2010 to February 2012, concentrating on pancreatic cancer research. Vinicio Medina earned a Doctor in Medicine degree from Universidad de Cuenca.
