Robert Schwartz, FACHE, PMP, CMPE, has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Robert is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Austin Sports Medicine, where they lead a premier sports medicine and orthopedic group in the Austin marketplace. Robert also serves as a trusted partner for providing care to the University of Texas Athletic Department and the Austin FC.

In 2013, Schwartz founded their own healthcare consulting firm called Think Schwartz. As the Owner and President, they focus on operational efficiency, increased productivity, and patient satisfaction. Robert also provides coaching, mentoring, and professional development for healthcare leaders.

From 2020 to 2022, Schwartz served as the Executive Director of Inpatient Progressive Healthcare of America (IPHA). Robert spearheaded the growth of the organization by securing hospital inpatient medicine contracts, managing providers across multiple locations, and driving organizational transformation.

Prior to that, Schwartz worked at Tenet Healthcare as a Manager - Market Operations Physician Services from 2017 to 2020. Robert directed a territory with a large staff and multiple practice sites, prioritizing patient care and ensuring facility and company quality metrics were met.

From 2012 to 2017, Schwartz worked at HCA Physician Services Group as a Practice Manager. Robert led a team in various areas including project management, process design, quality assurance, and clinical operations. Robert also played a key role in process improvement and building community relations.

At Rice Medical Center, Schwartz served as an Associate Administrator from 2008 to 2011. Robert successfully managed various operations and achieved significant improvements in cash collections, accounts receivable, and bad debt reduction.

Robert Schwartz, FACHE, PMP, CMPE, has an extensive education history in healthcare administration and biomedical science/exercise physiology. Robert earned their Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from Texas State University between 2005 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Healthcare Administration (BHA) degree from the same university from 2003 to 2005. Before their undergraduate studies, Robert attended Texas A&M University from 2000 to 2003, where they focused on biomedical science/exercise physiology.

In addition to their education, Robert also holds several certifications. Robert is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), having obtained this title in June 2019. Robert is also a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE), achieved through the MGMA in December 2015. Additionally, they hold the Board Certification through the American College of Medical Practice Executives (CMPE), which they obtained in November 2015. Robert has further certifications in project management, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they attained in August 2014. Robert also holds two certificates of achievement in Lean Six Sigma and Six Sigma Green Belt, both in the field of Information Technology, from the Villanova University Online Business Programs, which they achieved in August 2014 and April 2014, respectively.
