Kean Kuan currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Director at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine since April 2023. Kuan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and the Australasian College of Health Service Management, having completed the Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA). Previous roles include Director of Medical Services at Northern Health from February 2021 to March 2023, and Deputy Director of Medical Services at SA Health from February 2018 to February 2021. Kuan has held multiple academic positions at the University of Adelaide since February 2014 and has undergone medical training within the surgical field at SA Health from February 2013 to January 2017. Kuan's educational background encompasses a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University, a Master of Health Management from UNSW, and a Master of Philosophy in Medicine from the University of Adelaide.
