Samiha Makawi, SHRM-CP, currently serves as a 2024 Access Fellow at Access, a selective fellowship for underrepresented minorities and women pursuing MBA programs. Since April 2021, Samiha has worked as a Human Resources Coordinator for Operations & Technology at NBCUniversal. Samiha participated in the HACE Fellowship from August to November 2023, supporting the Emerging Latino Leaders Program aimed at enhancing diversity in technology and cybersecurity. Previous experience includes roles such as a mentee in Bloomberg's mentorship program, a Research, Communication, and Marketing Coordinator at projectBASTA, and a Field Operations and Human Resources Supervisor at the U.S. Census Bureau. Samiha also held the position of Membership Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater New York, showing outstanding sales performance. Early involvement with the State of New York included serving as a State Committee Woman, where registration of 200 voters quarterly was successfully managed. Samiha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from John Jay College (CUNY).
