Andrew Schafer

Andrew Schafer is a seasoned professional in the field of cyber security and software engineering, currently serving as a Cyber Security Architect at Australia Post since July 2025. Prior to this role, Schafer held various positions at Nutromics as a Software Engineering Manager and returned to Australia Post where responsibilities included Principal Security Architect and Principal Architect for People & Culture. Experience at Telstra as a Solution Designer and at the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing as a Senior Infrastructure Architect further enhanced expertise. Earlier roles included Technical Project Manager and Infrastructure Architect positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, while beginning a career as a Support Engineer. Andrew Schafer holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Deakin University, along with Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Information Technology from Swinburne University of Technology.
