Cassandra Smith

Cassandra Smith currently serves as Chief of Staff at Australia Post, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Cassandra was the Director of Public Policy at Mastercard from June 2014 to December 2022 and worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Minister for Health from April 2011 to June 2014. Cassandra's experience also includes roles as Senior Policy Adviser and Policy Adviser. Before entering governmental roles, Cassandra managed networks in Anaesthesia Peri-operative Care & Pain Management at the Agency for Clinical Innovation (NSW Health) and Gastroenterology at the Greater Metropolitan Clinical Taskforce. The professional journey began as a Project Officer at the Institute of Medical Education and Training. Cassandra holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Politics and International Relations from UNSW.
