Alex Powell is an experienced professional in digital health and service design, currently serving as Branch Head at the Australian Digital Health Agency since June 2025. Previously, Alex held the position of Senior Service Designer at the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing from July 2021 to June 2025, and worked as a Service Designer with the Digital Transformation Agency between November 2017 and July 2021. Alex began a career with the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources in February 2011, progressing through roles including Assistant Director and Director in business integration and administrative design, and Director of Biosecurity Reform and Business Reengineering. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Design from the University of Wales, College Newport, obtained from 1993 to 1996.
