Cosimo Thawley

Cosimo Thawley is an experienced diplomat and finance expert currently serving as Minister-Counsellor at the Australian Embassy in Indonesia since October 2021. Thawley has held multiple significant positions at the Commonwealth Treasury, including Senior Representative for Southeast Asia and Director of Foreign Investment, since October 2019. Previous roles include Senior Advisor with the Australian Government (2016-2019) and a diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2012-2016). Additionally, Thawley worked as an Associate for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance in 2011. Thawley holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and History from Pomona College, completed in 2011, and attended St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., from 2000 to 2007.
