Clare Savage

Clare Savage is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and public policy. Currently serving as Chair of the Australian Energy Regulator since October 2019 and a Member of the Energy Security Board since August 2017, Clare has previously held significant roles including Executive Director of Policy at the Business Council of Australia and Group Executive Manager of Strategy & Corporate Affairs at EnergyAustralia. Clare's earlier career includes leadership positions at TRUenergy, ESAA, and The Treasury, demonstrating a strong background in policy development and strategic management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Melbourne, along with a Graduate qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
