David Drinkwater

David Drinkwater has a strong background in commercial and asset finance, with experience spanning over a decade. David began their career at ANZ in 2004, initially serving as a Senior Lending Manager before being promoted to Regional Lending Manager in 2007. In this role, they managed the WA-based lending team for Asset Finance, assessing commercial transactions ranging from $250k to $40 million. In 2011, David transitioned to the position of State Manager Commercial Asset Finance - WA at ANZ, overseeing the implementation and sales of asset finance products for commercial customers in Western Australia. David held this role until 2017. Currently, David works at AFG Australian Finance Group, where they have held various positions since 2018. These positions include Technical Advisor - Commercial, National Manager Asset Finance & Personal Loans, and their current role as National Sales Manager Commercial & Asset Finance.

David Drinkwater attended Carine Senior High School from 1985 to 1989, where they received their High School Certificate. Later, from 1990 to 1993, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, specializing in Management and Marketing. Subsequently, they pursued further education from 1998 to 2003 at the Securities Institute of Australia, earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment with a focus on Equity Funding.
