Alison O'Connor has a diverse range of experience in various roles within the fields of digital communications, journalism, and media. Alison currently works as a Digital News Producer at the AFL - Australian Football League. Prior to this, they served as a Digital Content Specialist and Digital Communications Advisor at Mitchell Shire Council, where they focused on developing digital platforms, campaigns, and content to engage the community and raise awareness about council services.
Before their role at the council, Alison worked as an Editor at the Seymour Telegraph, where they sourced and developed news stories and managed the editorial team. Alison also served as a Media and Communications Officer at Field and Game Australia, where they oversaw the production of publications, managed events, and handled website and social media management.
Alison's earlier experience includes working as a Sports Journalist at the Shepparton News and as a Media Officer (Internship) at the Melbourne Football Club.
From 2003 to 2005, Alison O'Connor attended La Trobe University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Journalism degree with a focus on print media.
