Georgia Ahern

Georgia Ahern has a diverse range of work experience, starting with a role as a Client Relations professional at Loan Market from December 2012 to January 2014. Georgia then joined Thrive PR + Communications in 2016, initially as an intern and later as a Public Relations Assistant. Georgia was promoted multiple times within the company, ultimately becoming an Account Manager. During their time at Thrive PR + Communications, Georgia worked with various high-profile clients in sports and sponsorships and took on responsibilities such as media relations management, strategic counsel, stakeholder management, and team management. In 2020, they worked as a freelance PR and Communications Consultant, offering strategic counsel and media relations management. Currently, Georgia is employed at the AFL - Australian Football League, where they serve as a Communications Lead. Their role entails managing PR and media relations for the league and its various activities, including AFL, AFLW, Auskick, community football, and corporate and commercial initiatives. Georgia is responsible for promotion and publicity around the game, commercial announcements, themed round support, and amplification.

Georgia Ahern completed their high school education at Mentone Grammar from 2007 to 2011. Georgia then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Deakin University from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Deakin University between 2016 and 2018.
