Rebecca Marshall

National Participation Programs Manager at Australian Football League

Rebecca Marshall has extensive work experience in various roles within different organizations. Rebecca began their career at Fitness First in 2002 as an Operations Assistant, where they gained valuable insight and experience in the operational side of the business. Rebecca was later promoted to Operations Coordinator, responsible for complaint management, event planning, and new club operations. In 2007, they became the Club General Manager for Fitness First North Sydney, overseeing P&L and motivating staff to achieve budget targets. Rebecca then transitioned to the role of Planning Project Manager, translating business initiatives into project plans and managing budgets. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Operations Control Manager for Fitness First, streamlining processes and ensuring day-to-day operations.

In 2015, Rebecca joined Western Sydney University as a Sports Development and Relationship Officer, followed by their role as Sports & Gateway Relationship Manager. Their responsibilities included cultivating relationships and managing sports programs.

Most recently, Rebecca joined the AFL - Australian Football League and has taken on several positions. Rebecca began as the Regional Manager for the Greater Western Sydney Region, overseeing operations and development. Rebecca then served as the Participation & Programs Manager for NSW/ACT, responsible for managing programs and participation initiatives. Currently, they hold the role of National Schools Strategy Manager, contributing to the strategic direction and management of the AFL's schools programs.

Rebecca Marshall obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports and Exercise Management from the University of Technology Sydney. Rebecca pursued this degree from 2000 to 2002, specializing in the field of Sports Management.
