Sophie Welsh

Sophie Welsh is a seasoned sports commentator and podcast host currently associated with the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), where Sophie hosts the 'Inside the Boundary' podcast since April 2023. Sophie's extensive experience in sports media includes a role as AFLW Lead and Digital News Producer for the Australian Football League since April 2021 and previous positions at the Herald Sun as a Digital Producer, Editorial Assistant, and Digital Content Intern from July 2018 to April 2021. Additionally, Sophie worked as a Digital Content Producer for St Kilda Football Club in 2018 and completed an internship at the Climate Media Centre in 2017. Sophie holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Monash University and a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Melbourne, with ongoing pursuit of a Juris Doctor degree at Monash University.
