Olivia Ashton has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Olivia started their career as an Elementary Teacher at TEDA International School from August 2010 to July 2011. Olivia then worked at GEMS Education as a Marketing and Publications team member from August 2011 to July 2012. Olivia joined the International School of Tianjin as an Elementary Teacher for Grade 2 from July 2012 to June 2014 and later Grade 4 from June 2014 to June 2015. Olivia briefly worked at St. Joseph's Primary School as an Elementary Teacher for Years 1/2 from October 2015 to December 2015. Olivia then moved to the International School Ho Chi Minh City as an Elementary Relief and Substitute Teacher from February 2016 to June 2016. Olivia has been working at the Australian International School Hong Kong since January 2017, starting as a Year 5 Teacher until December 2019. Olivia then progressed to become a Year 3 Teacher and Head of House for the 2020 academic year, followed by being a Year 4 Teacher and Head of House from January 2021 to March 2023. Currently, Olivia holds the position of Year 6 Teacher and Head of House at the Australian International School Hong Kong.
Olivia Ashton's education history begins in 1994 when they attended St. Francis De Sales Regional College in Leeton, NSW Australia. Olivia completed their Year 12 Higher School Certificate program there in 1999.
In 2000, Olivia enrolled at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW Australia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in the field of Primary education. Olivia successfully completed this program in 2004.
Twenty years later, in 2020, Olivia joined The Education University of Hong Kong for their Executive Master of Arts in International Educational Leadership and Change. Olivia spent the academic year 2020-2021 studying at this institution.
In 2022, Olivia Ashton attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a certificate in Positive Psychology & Evidence-Based Transformative Practice. The field of study for this program was focused on The Science and Art of Happiness.
