Julian Mitchell

Julian Mitchell has extensive experience in leadership and management roles within the maritime and defense sectors. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Manager of Assets and Capability at the Australian Maritime Safety Authority since April 2013, Julian oversees contracts for aviation search and rescue services and national emergency towage vessel provisions. Previous roles include Manager of Search and Rescue Resources and Training, and managerial positions at Lambert & Rehbein, focusing on projects for the Defence and Federal Government. Julian's career in the Royal Australian Air Force included roles such as Personal Staff Officer to the Air Commander and Director of National Capital Construction Projects, alongside a comprehensive educational background with an MBA from Deakin University and qualifications from CIMA.
