Anders Hallan is a highly experienced researcher with a specialized focus on the systematics and evolution of molluscs. Currently serving as a Research Associate and ABRS Postdoctoral Researcher at the Australian Museum since October 2016, Anders has worked extensively on temperate Australian deep-sea turrid gastropods, as well as curatorial duties in malacological collections. Concurrently, since March 2017, Anders is the Founder and Owner of SeaGems Australia, a venture dedicated to marine biodiversity fine art prints and science communication. Involvement with the IUCN as a member of the SSC Mollusc Specialist Group commenced in April 2017. Previous roles include conducting biosecurity assessments for the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and contributing to the National Priority List of Exotic Environmental Pests and Diseases. Anders's academic background includes a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Wollongong, complemented by notable projects on Australian freshwater molluscs and IUCN Red List assessments for native land snails.
