Chief Audit Executive at Australian Museum

John Klincke has extensive work experience in audit and risk management roles. John is currently working as the Chief Audit Executive at the Australian Museum since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Audit & Risk Executive at the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District from 2021 to 2022. From 2013 to 2021, they held the position of Director of Internal Audit at the same organization. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Audit Manager at Toyota Financial Services from 2011 to 2013 and as a Senior Manager at the Reserve Bank of Australia from 2001 to 2011. John started their career as an Audit Manager at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where they worked from 1989 to 2001.

John Klincke completed their Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting at the University of Technology Sydney from 1988 to 1996. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification from CPA - Australia, which they completed in 2001. More recently, John attended the Institute of Internal Auditors to enhance their skills in Internal Auditing and earned the prestigious Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation in 2005.
