Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO)
Katea Pushian currently serves as an ARL Administrator at the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) since May 2023. Previously, Katea held the role of Sales Assistant at David Jones from September 2022 to May 2023 and completed an internship at the Biodiversity Conservation Trust from September 2022 to January 2023. Additional experience includes working as a Sales Assistant at Peter Alexander from November 2021 to September 2022 and as a Waitress at XS Espresso from September 2020 to August 2021. Katea holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management with a focus on Ecology from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), attained between 2020 and 2022.
Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO)
The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) is the organisation leading the development of a circular economy for packaging in Australia. We work with governments, businesses and other organisations across Australia’s large and complex packaging value chain to develop the insights, resources and programs needed to build a sustainable national packaging ecosystem. APCO is facilitating the delivery of Australia’s 2025 National Packaging Targets, an important step on the pathway to a circular economy. To bring the 2025 National Packaging Targets to life, APCO has developed a coordinated, whole-of-supply chain approach to promote the avoidance, reduction, reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging materials. APCO delivers this model of shared responsibility through the promotion of sustainable packaging activities including circular packaging design, improving collection and recycling systems, expanding markets for used packaging, and circular economy projects.
