Sophie Reade

Sophie Reade is a seasoned professional in risk governance and compliance, currently serving as the Head of Risk Governance and Compliance at Australian Payments Plus since September 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Executive Manager of Technology Risk Transformation at Commonwealth Bank from July 2020 to July 2023, and significant leadership positions at Tabcorp, including Head of Risk Strategy and Projects and Head of Risk and Compliance from February 2016 to July 2020. Sophie Reade also held the position of Associate Director of Operational Risk at Macquarie Group from May 2004 to December 2014 and was a Project Manager at Network Rail. Early career experiences include roles at Thomson Reuters, Westpac, and KPMG, where responsibilities ranged from IT auditing to product management in internet banking. Sophie Reade holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney, obtained between 1994 and 1997.
