Fiona Ellis-Jones

Fiona Ellis-Jones currently serves as the Head of News and Information at ARN since October 2022, where responsibilities include leading the national News division and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to influence strategic direction and innovation across various audio platforms. Prior to ARN, Fiona held significant roles at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) from January 2008 to September 2022, including Editor of Audio News, where leadership of a cross-platform journalism team resulted in impactful news delivery. Fiona also presented the flagship ABC NewsRadio Breakfast program and has extensive on-air experience in both radio and television. Earlier in the career, Fiona worked as a Journalist for Nine News Sydney from 2005 to 2008, contributing to major news broadcasts. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in International Relations from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Journalism) from Charles Sturt University.
